Members
The members of the committee must be practicing.
No member of Council and no member of the Counselling and Investigation Committee may sit on the Committee
No member of Council and no member of the Counselling and Investigation Committee may sit on the Committee
Term of Office
The term of office for members of the Discipline Committee shall be three (3) years.
Duties
- Review reports from Counselling and Investigation Committee to conduct a formal hearing
- Determine whether the person subject of the complaint is guilty of professional incompetence and/or professional misconduct
- Provide a written decision respecting the determination of the Committee subsequent to any hearing
- Exercise the disciplinary powers and authorities and conduct the procedures within the Act
- Prepare for council a report with the number and nature of the hearing conducted
